Meditation

Meditation classes run every Sunday from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. for donation only. Judy has been teaching meditation for the last 12 years.

This class focuses on Kriya meditation and a heart-centered meditation.

Kriya was brought to America in the 1940's by Paramahansa Yogananda, a Guru and Yogi from India.  Yogananda is the author of many books, including the classic Autobiography of a Yogi.

Kriya is easy to learn. The beginning Kriya exercise involves visualization of divine light and energy running through the body and the brain system.  It purifies our consciousness and helps us to feel filled with love, patience, forgiveness, joy, clarity, inspiration, humility, and peace.

Kriya is not a religion. People of all faiths may enjoy this practice.

The heart-centered meditation involves placing your awareness on the lower heart chakra, where the ribs come together in the center of the chest.  Dadaji, a sadguru from India, taught this meditation to a group gathered at A Higher Balance Healing Center in September, 2007.
